“Ashley Thesier was my teacher when I took my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. She came highly recommended to me by the owner of another Yoga Studio.
My YTT experience having Ashley Thesier as my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course was unlike anything I had experienced in my working life as an Insurance and Registered financial advisor. Although I knew this program was one that the studio owner Ashley had taught many times before, the individual attention every student received was just amazing. The professionalism and knowledge of every facet of yoga from Ashley’s personal experience made my journey through YTT more like a revelation of life, rather than just a “course of study.”
As the oldest student in the class, and probably the oldest to ever attend a Yoga Loft YTT, Ashley, and the other students always made me feel equal to them in every way …. the fact that wasn’t as flexible as others was absolutely not important.
Every facet of the course, from anatomy, meditation, asanas, chakras, breathing, etc was both explained as well as explored to gain maximum benefit.
Ashley’s magnetic personality along with her knowledge of the limbs of yoga and her compassionate teaching style was amazing ….. I recommend that anyone interested in attending a YTT meet Ashley Thesier.
This course also gave me an epiphany about breathing and meditation. I became so enamored with both that I went to Europe to become internationally certified in teaching Mindfulness and the formal MBSR (Mindful Based Stress Reduction) Course. Now I am a fee based provider of Yoga, Mindfulness, and MBSR at the Tampa VA Hospital to disabled veterans.”
I appreciated every second of YTT. As you know, I’ve always loved teaching; in my high school classroom, I cherish and honor the opportunity to teach my students whatever I can, whenever I can, whether it’s in the textbook or not. That magical “light bulb” fed my soul for many years. Now I realize that what I was doing was merely scratching the surface. Teaching yoga each week has made me realize that the person who most needs “teaching” is one’s self. I have always told my students at the end of each year that I learned more than I taught, and it’s always true – I just never realized HOW true until I started teaching yoga and meditation. You, in teaching by example, and everything we learned in YTT, opened my mind, nurtured my soul, and changed my relationship with this physical form. I’m now immersed in and living Yoga’s teachings, and new bright and deep interior worlds are opening up for me. I really don’t have words to thank you for bringing all this into my world, but I believe my gratitude can best be expressed through sharing what I learned, and please know that I do it at every opportunity – on and off the mat, in and out of class. I teach Hatha yoga with meditation and restorative yoga at a new studio in Brandon that opened its doors the week after I finished YTT – I guess that was meant to be. I also teach a weekly class at my school for our teachers, most of whom are new to yoga, but are now a vibrant sangha that is thriving, living out yoga’s benefits in every larger concentric circles around the whole school community. I also teach my lovely stressed-out students the calming breathing and stretching techniques that help them center. It’s not uncommon to hear in my classroom, “Hey Mrs. Farrell, can we do some yoga before this quiz/test/project?” Blessings to you always for opening so many doors, and providing the tools to not only live a vibrantly changing life myself, but to share that gift with so many others. With much love
– Peggy Farrell
I was blessed to have Ashley as my teacher for my yoga teacher training. As a teacher Ashley is able to gently coax the very best out you and help you accomplish more than you thought you could. Since then I’ve taught yoga and dove deeper into health and wellness earning a graduate certificate in health and wellness. Ashley’s teaching continue to inspire me to study and practice yoga. She is an incredibly gifted teacher.

Ashley Theiser guided me in an experience that will forever change my life. She changed my life and I will always be grateful for her.
I was able to attend Ashley’s very first yoga teacher training at Green Locus Yoga. I was very green in terms of yoga, but I left the training with information that made me look at the world and my connection to it differently. I left knowing how to breathe. I left with confidence in my ability to pass along ancient wisdom and guide others.
The training was a perfect blend of introspection, humor, philosophy, energy, physicality and companionship. It also challenged me and made me face some fears. At one point we were practicing inversions, one thing I was dreading. I didn’t want to try, as I didn’t think I could do it and didn’t want to be embarrassed. It made me question my whole decision for joining the training. How could I be a yoga instructor if I couldn’t do a headstand? With Ashley’s gentle coaching I learned that: 1. I COULD and DID do it. And 2. I did not have to do a headstand to be a kick ass yoga instructor. So headstands aren’t my thing, but like Ashley, helping people discover themselves is mine.
I’m proud to say that 2 years after my 200 hour YTT graduation with Ashley, I became a yoga studio owner, developed my own brand, and I continue to serve the clients at the lovely Green Locus Yoga Studio. Ashley has blessed me beyond yoga and I’m sure she doesn’t understand how much I appreciate her, but I’m delighted to have this opportunity to share.
I did my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Ashley Thesier in 2018. After completing the training, I felt completely confident in my ability to go on to teach yoga to my own students. While in yoga there is always more to be learned, I had all the tools that I needed. Since completing yoga teacher training I am teaching one studio class a week at the Balance Culture in Lakeland Florida. I have a full-time job in occupational therapy, otherwise I would teach more. I have received excellent feedback from the Balance Culture that my attendance numbers are good and I have a following of regular yoga students that are always grateful after every class because they had a good yoga session. I’ve also begun using yoga as a treatment intervention with my occupational therapy patients which consist of people who have suffered strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other neurologic and orthopedic conditions. I have felt well prepared for teaching modifications for students at all levels whether they be a healthy beginner yoga student or someone with a significant disability.
The unexpected side effect of yoga teacher training with Ashley last year was the change that occurred in my own life. I am more confident, more intuitive and I have learned to speak up for myself and “pack my own suitcase “, meaning I have gained the confidence to make my life what I want it to be and I feel completely comfortable with that. I have learned self-love. It takes a very special yoga teacher to teach you all of these things, and Ashley has years of experience to help guide you with that. I can’t imagine having trained with anyone else.
I graduated one year ago and have been teaching for one year. I also have my own home personal yoga practice. I have lost 11 pounds since graduating and starting teaching and I feel healthier than ever. I have control of my anxiety. I love being creative and creating yoga classes based on themes and use of the chakra system. I’m really good at drawing stick figures. All these things I learned from Ashley. I hope that you to go forth and start your journey as a yoga teacher, and you won’t regret getting your training with Ashley! Namaste
Ashley Thesier’s gift is to teach yoga. I was blessed to have her as my YTT 200 hour teacher at Green Locus Yoga. She promised me it would be a life changing experience for me. She made good on her promise. My life was forever changed because this talented, brilliant woman shared her gift with me. She blends her vast knowledge and experience in each of the limbs of yoga in an inspirational and down to earth way. She has the incredible ability to gently coax the very best out of you and take you deeper into your practice than you thought possible. She is supportive of every student in her class. She makes sure to spend time with every student to get to know them. Her classes are well put together and she makes sure you grasp the knowledge. Ashley teaches with heart. And, the best part is she is with you even after graduation. She’s both a mentor and friend, now and hopefully, I’ll be her student again. To once again deepen my practice and continue my journey of yoga, health, and wellness. It’s been put out to the Universe as she taught me. There’s something magical in her teaching, you simply have to experience to understand.
From this experience I’ve continued my yoga journey, teaching for a while, continuing to learn, and obtaining my graduate certificate in health and wellness coaching and just about to be certified as a health and wellness coach and that is just the beginning. Yes, my life is changed. So grateful for Ashley teaching a YTT yoga course.
It blows my mind that it has been almost a year since completing my 200 hour YTT. The six months studying with Ashley was absolutely transformational! Prior students warned me about the changes that would take place, yet I didn’t think those changes were going to be as drastic as they were (in amazing ways of course ☺️). I felt comfortable and connected to they way Ashley taught from the moment I met her. I can still remember finally feeling like I found a home and a tribe the first night our YTT group met. Ashley teaches from the heart and it shows in everything she does. I feel that with Ashley’s knowledge, experiences, and teaching style I was able to begin to grasp what true yoga is and have been learning and growing even more since graduation. She is truly able to bring out the best in each of her students.
Looking back at this last year I can’t believe the changes that have occurred within myself, my yoga practice, and in my teaching. YTT was just the beginning. I began teaching right after graduation. Thanks to Ashley I was truly prepared to begin sharing my heart with others. I have already taught over 150 hours of yoga. I have been blessed with so many opportunities teaching in different settings ranging from gyms, studios, and other small businesses. Ashley has been there for me every step of the way when I had questions or needed guidance. I truly hope I have the opportunity to complete the 300 hour YTT under her guidance. I can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for me and the impact she has made on my life.
